Roberta Angelone started her culinary career in Italy where she worked in various restaurants. She moved to India seventeen years ago and worked as consultant chef for a popular Italian restaurant in Manali, Il Forno, till Oct 2011. She currently works as the Italian chef at Johnson Lodge in Manali.

Perfect for the home cook

I loved how simply Italian cooking has been presented for the Indian home cook. Fundamentals & staples for Italian cooking are well explained.
Every recipe is easy to replicate, ingredients are easy to find & inexpensive & does not require any exceptional preparation. Many of these recipes can be made from normal ingredients available in the Indian pantry.
The book can be used to plan a complete menu soups to mains to desserts & provides depth & range rarely available to home cooks.

The author's desire to spread the joy of Italian cooking comes out clearly through the book. I haven't tried many recepies yet, but they do sound to be easy and doable.
